SOUR ARTIST COLLECTIVE

Sour Artist Collective

Craft Meets Canvas at Grain Bin Brewing
The Sour Artist Collective is our creative collision of local art and local beer. Four times a year, we partner with a visual artist from the Grande Prairie region to co-create a one-of-a-kind brew (or cooler) that reflects their unique style and story. Each release features a custom label showcasing the artist’s work and is celebrated with a launch event and gallery-style taproom exhibit.

A portion of proceeds from each release supports the Art on Tap Student Award Fund, a bursary created in partnership with the Northwestern Alberta Foundation to help emerging artists pursue post-secondary education in the visual arts.

Release #4 - ALMOST GONE

About the Artist:
Kate Connors is an award-winning tattoo artist, educator, and multidisciplinary creative known for her ability to blend art with emotion, intention, and transformation. With over two decades of experience, she specializes in realism, watercolour, and cover-up tattooing, while also offering paramedical tattoo services that support those reclaiming their bodies after trauma or surgery.

About the Cooler:
Blackberry Reverie is a deeply personal creation — a tribute to someone Kate held close. A dreamer, a dancer, always in a world of her own, she moved through life like a living reverie. This cocktail — infused with blackberry, lemonade, sage, and a touch of salt — honours that spirit. One of the label artworks was created in her memory, capturing a feeling that lingers, much like the drink itself.

Art on Tap Student Award Fund

Created in collaboration with the Northwestern Alberta Foundation, the Art on Tap Student Award Fund provides financial support for emerging visual artists pursuing post-secondary education.
